Yes. I understand to some clients contracts can seem intimidating but I feel it is important that I ask you to formally agree to the Terms and Conditions as it clarifies exactly what is expected of myself and protects both parties. If you would like to see a copy of my most up-to-date T&Cs feel free to send me a message.
-
Yes. To save the date and secure your booking I ask for a non-refundable booking fee. This is calculated at 25% of the main package fee. By paying the booking fee you are showing your consent to the Terms and Conditions. I ask that the remaining balance is paid at least two weeks before the big day.
-
Yes, I own liability insurance which provides protection against claims resulting from injuries and damage to people and/or property. I hope to never need it!
-
For the ceremony and speeches I tend to use three cameras to capture a wider range of moments and give variety to the films. Generally, the rest of the time I record on one camera. On some rare occasions I may have an assistant or second camera operator also attend, if that is the case I will always let you know prior to the day.
-
I aim to blend in to your day as much as possible; therefore I dress smartly unless otherwise instructed!
-
We are both trying to capture the day to the best of our abilities and without good communication we can easily impede on each other or accidentally appear in each other's shots. This is why it is really important that as the videographer I maintain a good working relationship with the photographer on the day. I pride myself on my friendly approach and take every effort to help your photographer capture your day in their own style and with no disruption.
-
Only if you want to! It'll certainly be appreciated but it is not a requirement. I just ask that you let me know beforehand so I can be prepared.

Sound is an extremely important part of video production and I take great effort to get high quality sound with no unwanted distractions. A range of sound recording equipment is used, including on-camera microphones and separate recording devices. These separate recording devices can record sounds closer to the people speaking to capture the cleanest dialogue. I will tend to use a small recording device in a breast pocket to capture the vows (they pick up the sound around them too) and similarly during the speeches; these are quickly attached and are extremely discreet.

Due to copyright licensing I am unable to allow you to choose your own music for your wedding films. I use royalty free music from paid subscription websites that means your wedding videos will never have issues when being uploaded online or shared with family and friends and keeps everything within the law. I also use my own creative judgement to choose music that fits beautifully with the narrative, visuals, pace and mood of the film, as well as matching it to the tastes of the couple where possible.

Condensing hours of footage and hours of separate sound files takes time, especially when special care is taken to create the best possible film. As my work is quite seasonal, delivery times vary throughout the year. Towards the end of the season you can expect to wait around 12-16 weeks for your films, however I always aim to get them to you as soon as possible.
